General:
The R/V Thomas G. Thompson is owned by the Office of Naval Research and the R/V Clifford A. Barnes is owned by the National Science Foundation. Both are operated under a Charter Party agreement by the School of Oceanography at the University of Washington as part of the UNOLS fleet.

Special Notice:
- While passports are required for travel to/from Canada and other western Hemisphere locations on board our vessels, the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative currently implimented by the Departments of Homeland Security and State will require all U.S. citizens, Canadians, citizens of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, and citizens of Mexicoto have a passport or other accepted secure document to enter or re-enter United Statesby January 1, 2008.
