OCEANOGRAPHY UNDERGRADUATES
The School of Oceanography offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. Achieving a baccalaureate degree requires a total of 180 credits. This is fulfilled by taking a combination of courses, as demonstrated in COURSE REQUIREMENTS and SUGGESTED PLANS.
But life at UW School of Oceanography consists of much more than coursework. You may consider enhancing your UW experience by joining the UW Chapter of the COASTAL SOCIETY or participating in the STUDENT OCEANOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, a student-run organization created to promote, inform, and improve both undergraduate and graduate education in oceanography at the University of Washington. The SOS has a
™Facebook group, UW Oceanography (Click on this link or go to Facebook home, login or create your user, and search for "UW Oceanography".).
Indoor and outdoor recreational facilities are available at the IMA-INTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES CENTER on Montlake Blvd.
Looking for course alternatives? Try the UW WOMEN'S CENTER that helps build gender equity campus-wide and offers non-credit classes, temporarily located in room 484 of Bagley Hall,
