The quiz on Weds. 21 Feb will be on basic geostrophic balance, thermal wind, and
the ideas behind them (including the background from geostrophic adjustment)....closed book/notes.
<br><br>  The object is to be sure that you have a working familiarity with these ideas, since they are 
the 
basis for much of dynamical ocean/atmosphere studies. I will supply the same equations that were on the 
Mid-Term test.  Duration will be about 30 minutes.
