International interdisciplinary studies on the understanding of transport and biological modification of particles in the ocean (OMEX). Determination of fluxes
of particulate and dissolved matter within the lowermost water column and the sediment surface.

Studies on the bioavailabilty and fate of organic particles at continental margins.

Efflux and horizontal export production from cold seeps and gashydrate fields (NEPTUNE).
