Observations of Ocean Circulation

Prerequisites: permission of instructor


The goals of this class are to provide:

(1) An introduction to the nature of what can be observed about the general circulation.
(2) Entry points into the literature for a wide range of topics.
(3) Practice at reading and synthesizing physical oceanographic papers.
(4) A forum to develop skills involved in professional presentation and discussion.
