Sarah's first scientific expedition was pretty cushy, but she was only 7 weeks old. NWRA had a short (~1 week long) field program at Copalis Beach, WA. Both Elaine and Sarah got to join Matt as we spent a week deploying instruments to measure the currents and wave heights offshore. Since Sarah can't swim yet, she didn't get to help deploy any instruments, but her cheery nature lifted all of the scientists spirits - a valuable contribution.
