Stratified Spin-up in a Bowl-Shaped Rotating Basin
A vertical light sheet illuminates a dye field twisted by spin-up into a
helical spiral. The orientation of the layers tells us that spin-up
occurs by normal diffusion of momentum from the boundary and not by Ekman
pumping.
