51 inch diameter cylinder resting on top of a 60 inch tall plexiglas
'silo'. Light source: slide projector 30' up. Darkened room. Water depth
ranged from 0.5 cm to 1.5 cm to 5.5 cm (a few may be deeper). Canon EOS 10D
images at 1/60 sec. The shallower depths produce solitons/ripple-bores
(as in 2d and 3d images). The rather fleshy large-amplitude waves are in the
deeper water. The vortex image should be improved, also there are no images of
the great concentric rings that occur when the cylinder walls are thumped.
