NOAA-MPOWIR Internship

NOAA, in partnership with MPOWIR (Mentoring Physical Oceanography Women to Increase Retention), is pleased to
announce a unique internship opportunity for the summer of 2012. Two junior scientists will be chosen for
internships at AOML (Miami, FL), GFDL (Princeton, NJ) or PMEL (Seattle, WA). Interns will be integrated into an ongoing research program for a period of 8 to 10 weeks while working on a project of mutual interest with a NOAA scientist.

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must be female scientists currently enrolled in a graduate
program at a U.S. institution and self-identify as a physical oceanographer. Funds are available for lodging and travel.
