Summer Scholarships available in New Zealand

The University of Auckland’s Faculty of Science is offering summer scholarships to students in nominated Northern Hemisphere universities. We invite 3rd or 4th year undergraduate science students from your university to apply to spend eight weeks in New Zealand during the Northern Hemisphere summer vacation, undertaking research on projects directed by academic staff in the Faculty.

Each scholarship is worth NZ$5,000, $3500 of which will be paid on arrival with the remainder to be paid upon completion of a satisfactory report on the work. Successful applicants will be required to fund all other expenses. Assistance with Visa applications and finding accommodation in Auckland will be available. Shared workspace in The University of Auckland will be provided. Enquiries and applications should be made by Friday 13 April 2012.

Please find attached a poster advertising these scholarships. We would be grateful if you would display these posters around your university and encourage students to apply for this opportunity. We would of course be happy to reciprocate if you have a similar offer that you would like advertised around our university.
